International Scout Jamboree, 1924

The entire scout contingent, which represented India at the International Scout Jamboree held at Wembley and Copenhagen in August 1924, consisted of Bombay Parsi scouts under the leadership of Scouter Rustom D. Talati of the 8th Bombay Scout Troop.

Scouts from 32 nations attended the jamboree. The Indian contingent was presented to the King-Emperor, Prince of Wales, Duke of Connaught and Chief Scout Lord Robert S. Baden Powell.

Scout Master Rustom Dinshawji Talati was the founder of the 8th East Bombay, Talati’s Scout Group.

Scout Master Ardeshir Behramji Homavazir served as The Group Leader of the Talati’s Scout Group from 1924 and continued running the troop till 1952.

Scout Master Naval Rustomji Dordi served as The Group Leader of the Talati’s Scout Group from 1952 and continued running the troop till 1968.
